True North is a coffee roaster from Washington state, but they have expanded across the west and north-east coast. Having a camping background, True North embraces the morning ritual of having a cup of coffee before a hike.
Brief
Personal Project
Due to their background, True North believes in inspiring others to slow down with a cup of coffee, and to appreciate nature. Their target audience were likeminded individuals who enjoyed adventure, nature, and slow living in this busy world.
Objective
When it came to the logo, the most important element was the icon. We wanted to create a design that felt like it was warm but inspiring. Despite being a morning ritual, we eventually landed on the idea of following the north star as a reassuring symbol that helps in navigation.
